Discover Barbuda

Wild. Peaceful. Unforgettable.

Just across the water from Antigua lies a completely different island. Discover pink sand, extraordinary wildlife, quiet coastlines and the unhurried character of Barbuda.

Barbuda is Antigua's quieter sister island, known for its long undeveloped beaches, remarkable wildlife and relaxed pace of life. A day here feels very different from a day on Antigua.

Whether you travel by ferry, boat, plane or helicopter, we can help you find the right way to experience Barbuda and make the most of your time on the island.

Frigate Bird Sanctuary

Barbuda is home to one of the Caribbean's most important colonies of magnificent frigatebirds, reached by boat across the lagoon.

Pink Sand Beach

Barbuda's coastline is famous for stretches of pale sand that can take on a delicate pink colour from tiny fragments of coral and shells.

Martello Tower

One of Barbuda's best-known historic landmarks and a reminder of the island's colonial-era history.

Visiting Antigua on a cruise?

We do not recommend a Barbuda day trip for cruise ship guests. Travelling to Barbuda is highly dependent on weather conditions, whether you travel by ferry, private boat, plane or helicopter. Strong winds, high surf, marine warnings or other unsuitable conditions can result in delays or cancellations, sometimes at short notice.

If you are staying in Antigua for several days, a Barbuda experience can often be postponed or rearranged for another day. Cruise guests only have one day in port, so a cancellation can leave very little time to organise an alternative and may spoil your only day in Antigua.

There is also no guarantee that independently arranged transport to and from Barbuda will return you to the cruise port before your ship departs. On My Way Tours and the individual transport providers cannot accept responsibility for a missed cruise ship departure caused by weather, delays, cancellations or other circumstances outside our control.

For these reasons, we strongly recommend that cruise guests choose an Antigua-based experience instead.
